Bishop John and Jeanie Smith became Senior Pastors of WOLM in Spring of 1983. Since then, the church body has grown from 30 members to nearly 600 members. His admirable faith and devotion to God is an inspiration to everyone. It is truly amazing to see what God is doing through Bishop Smith. Everyone at Word of Life considers it a great privelege to attend a church under his leadership.

Dell Barkley became the Worship Leader of WOLM in early Spring 2006. Since then he has taken the praise and worship of the church to an extremely new level! God has truly anointed Dell with a gift of music and singing. He currently resides in Simpsonville with his wife, Debbie, and his three daughters, Delisa, Denée, and Devin.

Jimmy and Crystal were both born and raised in Florida where they interned under the same Youth Pastor, but in two different places. They later met and were married. They served as Youth Pastor at Harvest Temple Church in Largo, FL before they felt God leading them to Word of Life. Their desire to see the youth of WOL experience God in an ongoing relational way. Simply put, they want to see the youth seek after God by reading the Bible and praying daily.

Malen Papadopoulos

Malen Papadopoulos has been on staff at WOLM since Fall 2005. She handles the scheduling of appointments and also assists with the operations of the church and school office. She also assumes the duties of co-captain of the Usher/Greeter Ministry. She currently resides in Simpsonville with her husband, Mike, and daughter, Michaela.

Tina Leonardi has been working at WOLM since Summer 2005. She handles the operations of the church office and also oversees the scheduling and advertising of church events.  In addition, Tina manages the printing of weekly publications. She currently resides in Pelzer with her husband, Rick, her son,  Derek, and her daughter, Shannon.

Marie-Josée L'Heureux has been working at WOLM since Fall 2005. She handles all of the church's financial and accounting operations. Marie has a background of 7 years in accounting at Christian Center of Beauce Assembly of God in Quebec, Canada. She currently lives in Fountain Inn with her husband,  Roger, and her two daughters, Judith and Jolyane.

Derek Forehand
Media Director

Derek Forehand started working at WOLM as a volunteer in Summer 2005 and was hired on staff late Summer 2007. He handles the overall media operations including this website, media production, and in-house operations.
